Early Entrance College Programs
Many colleges, when approached individually, will allow the young student to take
a course or two. Others will allow the young student to become matriculated, often
based on their SAT or ACT scores and previous academic achievement - this
happens more than you might think.
Many state colleges allow juniors and seniors in high school to take
college courses; these programs are often available, but not
well-advertised. Some states have a "Post-Secondary Options Act" as
part of their education or gifted education mandates, that allow high school
students to take college courses for high school credit.

have specialized programs designed for young students at least 2 years before high
